Abstract

Among the basic skills needed by a modern teacher can cite those related to reading skills, writing,
information management, ICT management, teamwork, among others.
This set of competencies is essential because the first two not only allow access to knowledge, but
also the written communication what is learned.
Unfortunately the various tests applied by the MOE since 2007, has demonstrated that teachers in
these skills show low activity levels.
Similar assessments applied to college students of the Faculty of Education Section Obas also show
low levels of reading comprehension, thus showing that the problem is not exclusive reference active
teachers, but also teachers in training.

Overcoming these limitations can lead us to pose a number of creative ideas. From our position we
have raised the idea of overcoming this difficulty from the reading workshops. Indeed, comparing the
results before and after the workshops, it was possible to observe significant changes in participants.
After the experience has become clear that the skills can be worked from reading workshops,
however; These skills also require more work time and personal commitment of each participant to
continue reading and writing activities.
Collect reading materials of different subjects of the cycle and work them in workshops, contributing
effectively to develop skills: written in locating documents, manuals and graphic information; maps
and interpret written work programs information. also; can communicate by writing thoughts, ideas,
data, messages, and prepare reports, proposals, flowcharts and graphs.
