The current scenario in which we find ourselves facing the problems and challenges that the educational system in Peru faces right now is not oblivious to what happens in other countries, this fact makes efforts are oriented to perform all reforms educational necessary to ensure quality education and is in direct relation to the demands posed by the globalized world, one of the priorities and ongoing training for teachers training. This research aims to determine the levels of cognitive functions and brain dominance on job performance Secondary Teachers city Huánuco.El research method that has been used is the descriptive type of research is applied, because we rely on existing
knowledge and job performance are teaching and neuropsychological variables involved in it. The
simple descriptive research design to collect general information regarding the neuropsychological
variables involved in the teaching job performance. Likewise, comparative descriptive design was
used to differentiate levels of cognitive functions in teaching of both sexes. The sample consisted of
50 teachers from Secondary different specialties who were administered the Brain Dominance Test
Ruiz-Bolívar, b., Gardie, O. Ismail, A., Mendoza, Y. and Monasteries, G. which is an adaptation of
HBDI (Brain Dominance Instrument Herrmann) and the Mental ability Test THM 6 with the following
results:
In terms of levels of cognitive Secondary Teachers city of Huanuco features the highest percentage
52% are below the average level, 34% are in the average level, and only 03% have higher level and
Women show slightly better terms desempeño.En cerebral dominance, we note that the limbic law is
more related to the dimensions of job performance Teaching, followed by the left cortical and limbic
finally left. However no statistically significant difference.
