Author Guidelines

Shipment of articles

The article submitted to Investigación Valdizana must be original, relevant and unpublished for the last three years and it must not be submitted to other journals for publication, otherwise it will be excluded. This type of article constitutes an ethical characteristic and strength for the journal and has the confidence for the respective evaluation.

For the presentation of all the manuscripts, (without exception) the citation style is based on:

Manual for writing articles of the Scientific Journal of Research Valdizana

The starting point for the preparation of the article is to take into account the Editorial Policy of Valdizana Research.

The first page should include the title in Spanish and English, the names of the authors, the institutional affiliation and the email address of each author. Also, the summary and keywords in Spanish and English.

The title must be explanatory and contain the essence of the work, written in Spanish and English. No more than 15 words.

The article must have 15 pages or 7 thousand words. Write the text in Word for Windows, with font Times New Roman, with margins of 2 cm. on the right and bottom sides, 3.0 cm on the left and top side of the page. Interlinear spacing: 1.5 cm., Except for the abstract and abstract that is written in a single space. Prepare the tables and possible figures in Word or Excel.

The bibliographical references will only be considered those that have been cited in the body of the article.

The work must contain: 1 to 2 pages of introduction and 4 pages of theoretical framework, it must contain a well-developed and articulated theoretical framework, clearly defined concepts, complete and appropriate bibliographic review and, when appropriate, a well-constructed hypothesis. The wording in the body of the article must be in the third person.

The article must present at least 25 authors consulted and inserted coherently in the text as citations, which should be publications made in the last 5 years, consigned in bibliographical references with all the data. Good percentage (40%) of the references must be from indexed scientific journals.

The article must be written considering the following elements in each case:

Quantitative investigation

The abstract, key words, abstract, key words, introduction, literature / literature review, research methods and techniques, data analysis and discussion, conclusions / final considerations. The illustrations and tables must be inserted in the body of the work. References.

Summary: presents the general idea of ​​the subject, objectives, research methods, results and conclusions, written in an objective and concise manner (in a single paragraph of 200 average words).

Keywords: set of three to five words that represent the content of the work.

Abstract and Key words: translation of the abstract and the keywords into English.

Introduction: Presentation of the topic, justification of the problem, objectives (must be presented explicitly, demonstrating consistency throughout the text with the objective, with support of theoretical concepts and secondary data), hypothesis and methodological basis, exposing in an orderly and detailed the subject, based on the background, variables studied and results obtained. The introduction must contain all the elements indicated, avoiding subtitles in its presentation and written in the present tense because it represents aspects that maintain their validity over time. (from one to two pages).

Methodology: describes the procedure, methods and techniques used in the collection and analysis of data, with support from authors in the area.

Data Analysis and Discussion: presents the results of field research, interprets and qualifies taking into account the theory and background.

Final considerations / conclusions: presents the inferences of the author and the teachings in relation to the subject investigated, must correspond to the objectives of the study. References.

Qualitative research

The summary, key words, Abstract, Key words, Introduction 2 pages (description of the problem, theoretical framework, objective of the research), methodology, result (inductive construction of the theoretical model), conclusions / final considerations. The illustrations must be inserted in the body of the work. References.

Scientific Essay

The abstract, keywords, abstract, Key Word, Introduction 2 pages (the problem, conceptual framework, objectives, relevant content), Thematic development (deductive, inductive or dialectical exposition), conclusions. References

Bibliographic references: lists of works cited in the work, according to alphabetical order (surname, abbreviated name, year, title: subtitle, edition, place of publication: publisher). Example:

How to make the citations

Short citations: literal transcription of the text, with less than 40 words. It must be incorporated into the paragraph in quotes. Example:

To compile a theoretical platform of a case study or any other research strategy, bibliographic research is conducted - surveys of references exposed in written media or other media. The documentary research resembles the bibliographic research, but does not raise edited material-books, newspapers, etc. -, but look for material that was not edited as letters, memoranda, correspondences of other types, notices, agendas, proposals, stories, studies, evaluations, etc.

Reference of two authors:

The names of the authors must be separated by the letter "and", followed by the year of publication. When they were cited within the parentheses they should be separated by "&". Examples: Armstrong and Kotler (2006); (Armstrong & Kotler, 2006).

When the authors are more than three. Example: Lambin et al (1998).

When the authors are more than three. Example: Lambin et al (1998).

Reference groups of similar authors: if two references were identical in the summary, cite the surname of the authors to differentiate the two references. Example: Pride (1992) and Kotler (2006).

When the author can not be identified: the title of the work must be mentioned instead of the name of the author.

Example: (...) of the Portuguese negreiros ships "(THE LIFE OF A NAVIGATOR, 1901, P. 13).

Other important aspects

Illustrations: are the figures, designs, diagrams, flowcharts, photographs, graphics, maps, flow charts, etc. They should be inserted as close as possible to where they were cited in the text. They are identified by a lower legend listed.

Tables: presents qualitative information, usually textual, arranged in lines or columns (maximum 7 tables).

Tables: presents quantitative or numerical information (maximum 7 tables).

Upper legend: lists the tables (quantitative information). Location above the table. Source 11, bold; centralized alignment

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
