Authorship

All authors must have made substantial contributions in each of the following aspects: (1) the conception and design of the study, the acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of the data, (2) the draft of the article or the critical review of the intellectual content, (3) the final approval of the version presented, (4) agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Authors are advised to carefully review the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript for the first time. Any addition, deletion, or reordering of authors' names after submitting the manuscript will not be permitted.

Author Contribution Statement
Microbes, Infection, and Chemotherapy require that all authors take public responsibility for the content of the work submitted for review. The contributions of all authors must be described in the following manner:
The authors confirm their contribution to the paper as follows: study conception and design: Author 1, Author 2; data collection: Author 3; analysis and interpretation of results: Author 1, Author 3, Author 4; draft manuscript preparation: Author 2, Author 4.

All authors reviewed the results and approved the final version of the manuscript. All authors agreed to be responsible for all aspects of the work to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the published manuscript.

An author's name can appear multiple times, and each author's name must occur at least once.

For single authors, use the following wording:

The author confirms sole responsibility for the following: study conception and design, data collection, analysis and interpretation of results, and manuscript preparation.

 

CONFLICT OF INTERESTS

Each author must disclose any business associations or financial disclosures that may pose or create a conflict of interest with the information presented in any submitted manuscript. Such associations include any of the following: consultancies, ownership of stock or other equity interests, patent license agreements, payment for conducting or publishing a study described in the manuscript, royalty recipient, grant recipient, employee, member of the board and member review panel.

They must also notify the editors if the research has received funding.

 

DATA AVAILABILITY


Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy require authors to make all data necessary to replicate their study’s findings publicly available without restriction at the time of publication. When specific legal or ethical limits prohibit the public sharing of a data set, authors must indicate how others may access the data.

When submitting a manuscript, authors must provide a Data Availability Statement describing compliance with this data policy. If the article is accepted for publication, the Data Availability Statement will be published as part of the article.
