About the Journal

Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy (Microbes Infect Chemother) ISSN 2789-4274, is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal, which publishes research on the current issues posed by infectious diseases worldwide. The journal is an adscript to the Infectious and Tropical Diseases lectures of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Hermilio Valdizán of Huánuco.

The journal Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy, is published only in English and publishes manuscripts continuously.

Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy publishes articles primarily on human pathogens, infectious diseases, and public health. However, articles on infectious diseases in animals can be published if the pathogen or disease is of importance in human medicine. The journal publishes original articles and reviews on the treatment and research of HIV/AIDS, antibiotic resistance, emerging infections, and public health, including but not limited to etiology, pathogenesis, immunology, epidemiology, microbiology, etc.

Although Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy is international in nature and accepts contributions from all over the world, it mainly publishes research on infectious diseases carried out in developing countries, considering that it is our scientists who have the greatest limitation of an adequate means of disseminating their research.

Microbes, infection and Chemotherapy is part of the PKP preservation network.
