Resumen

El presente artículo presenta una crítica a la forma como se aborda la formación del estudiante universitario en la actualidad. Se señala la crisis que atraviesan las humanidades en la formación profesional en estos tiempos a la vez que se busca destacar la importancia y el valor de estas para la formación integral de los estudiantes. A través de una reflexión ética y teniendo como guía la pregunta acerca de ¿Qué es el ser humano? se plantea la necesidad de responder a los retos sociales y profesionales que propone la realidad del mundo globalizado en el que vivimos teniendo en cuenta los conocimientos científicos y los saberes humanísticos.

Abstract

This article presents a critique of the way in which the training of university students is currently approached. The crisis that the humanities are going through in vocational training in these times is pointed out while at the same time it seeks to highlight the importance and value of these for the comprehensive training of students. Through ethical reflection and guided by the question: What is a human being? It was elaborated the need to respond to the social and professional challenges proposed by the reality of the globalized world in which we live scientific and humanistic knowledge.
