About the Journal


Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy (Microbes Infect Chemother) is an international, peer-reviewed, published continuously, and open-access journal, which publishes research on the current issues posed by infectious diseases worldwide. The journal is an adscript to the Infectious and Tropical Diseases lectures of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Hermilio Valdizán of Huánuco.

Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy is published only in English.


Microbes, Infection and Chemotherapy publishes articles primarily on human pathogens, infectious diseases, and public health. However, articles on infectious diseases in animals can be published if the pathogen or disease is of importance in human medicine. The journal publishes original articles and reviews on the treatment and research of HIV/AIDS, antibiotic resistance, emerging infections, and public health, including but not limited to aetiology, pathogenesis, immunology, epidemiology, microbiology, etc.
